Wind Turbines
Wind Power is generated through the use of a turbine, usually mounted on a tower.

The turbine converts wind energy to DC (direct current) electricity which is stored in a battery bank. When there is an electrical demand, the current is passed through an inverter, changing it to AC (alternating current) electricity to run normal household appliances. This allows you to rely on the existing utility power as a backup.

Vertical Axis Wind Turbines:
Urban Green Energy's Eddy is one of many vertical axis turbines meeting the needs of consumers and businesses looking for on-site power options. Urban Green Energy's wind turbines have a design that makes them perform very well in changing wind conditions. A two-axis shaft reduces strain on the permanent magnet generator at the base of the turbine and improves the performance.  For more product information, pricing and or site visit, please contact us directly.
